What ServiceTitan costs, and what drives the number
ServiceTitan doesn't publish a price, which makes it hard to compare against anything. Here is how the quote is actually built, and what to ask for in writing before you sign.
There is no list price
ServiceTitan is quoted per shop. There is no published rate card, no public tier pricing, and no calculator on their site — you get a number after a discovery call and a demo. That is why the most-read answers to this question are contractors comparing notes with each other rather than anything official.
What is consistent across those accounts is the shape of the bill, and the shape is what you can actually plan around. You are buying a per-technician subscription, plus a one-time implementation project, plus whichever add-on products you take — on an annual agreement. What each piece costs varies enough by crew size and configuration that no published figure will match your quote.
The number that matters is your first-year total: subscription for every seat you will actually license, plus implementation, plus add-ons. Ask for those as separate line items.
The six things on the quote
Every ServiceTitan quote is assembled from the same pieces. Knowing them ahead of the call is most of the negotiating leverage you have.
Per-technician licensing
The core of the bill. You pay per technician seat, every month, and it climbs every time you hire. Ask what a seat costs and what happens to it when you add three techs next spring.
Office and admin seats
Dispatchers, CSRs, and back-office staff are licensed users too. On a shop with a small field crew and a busy office, these seats can be a meaningful share of the total.
Implementation and onboarding
A one-time project fee, quoted separately from the subscription, covering data migration, configuration, and training. This is where most of the surprise lives for a first-time buyer.
Add-on products
Marketing Pro, Dispatch Pro, Pricebook Pro, Fleet Pro, and Phones Pro are separate products with separate line items. The base subscription does not include them.
Payment processing
If you run card payments through the platform, processing is its own rate. Worth pricing against whatever you use today.
Contract term
Ask how long the term is, whether it renews automatically, and what the renewal increase looks like — in writing, before you sign.
When ServiceTitan is more than you need
ServiceTitan is a capable platform built for large, multi-branch operations — and it's priced like one. For a lot of commercial shops, that means per-technician pricing that climbs fast, multi-year contracts, and a level of complexity that takes weeks to set up and a dedicated admin to run. If you have a marketing department and twelve branches, that overhead buys you something. If you have fifteen techs and a dispatcher, it mostly buys you a bigger bill.
If you're a smaller commercial HVAC or refrigeration shop, you don't need an enterprise suite. You need to dispatch your crew, run clean work orders, keep the service history on every unit, and have it all work in the field. That's exactly what ServiceBase does — without the per-seat bill or the enterprise overhead.
ServiceBase vs. ServiceTitan, at a glance
A fair, high-level look at where each one fits. ServiceTitan is built for the enterprise; ServiceBase is built for commercial shops that want simple and reliable — at a price you can read without a sales call.
